Moss, born 13th February 1977 is an ex-American football player. He was a
player with the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots (New
England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) as well as the San
Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. Many consider him to be the
greatest wide receiver of all time alongside Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL
single-season record for touchdown receptions (23 in 2007) in addition to the
NFL single-season record of touchdown receptions for a rookie (17 in 1998) and
is ranked second on the NFL all-time regular season touchdown reception list,
with 156. Moss was well-known for his skills in securing a an elusive catch and
"mossed" is nowadays a football term. Post-football, he was working
with ESPN as an analyst for its studio Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night
Countdown programs. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. He attended DuPont
High School. It was one of two schools that was later amalgamated into Riverside
High School. There was a great player in football, basketball, baseball, track,
and other sports. Randy was also a member of the school's debating club. Moss
was a DuPont Panthers' football player that led them to back-to-back state
championshipsin 1992 and 1993. Moss was an outstanding wide receiver. He also
played free safety and punt return. He won the Kennedy Award for West Virginia
Football Player of the Year in 1994. Parade magazine named him to their annual
All-American high school football team in 1995. in 2009, they named him as one
of the 50 most influential footballers from high schools ever.
