In the old days (i.e. In the early 2020s, comedians might have had the opportunity to entertain for decades in the UK before being invited onto a TV panel and then selling out arena shows. However, it's not so simple at present. Comedy is one of the art forms which has managed to remain performed front of an audience, but we're not going to be having arena tours anytime in the near future. However there is a Bristol comedian has found a worldwide audience through a the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke never set out to become an internet celebrity. Abi Clarke, 24, who lives in Henbury with her parents, began making her first video online to "build an audience of like-minded people who could appreciate my stand-up comic act." "I was doing a lot more shows in Devon to men aged 50 and older so I started making videos online in the hopes that I could create a following of like-minded people who would be interested in my stand up comedy." Abi said.
